Design Intern
| Liberty Carton Company is a leader in the design and manufacturing of corrugated packaging and related materials. We are looking for a graduate to work in our Design department full time as a trainee; start and stop times may be flexible. This position will assist our designer in the development and design of corrugated packaging products to meet specific sales, marketing, production and cost requirements. While working with an experienced designer on a variety of assignments, the individual in this position will have the chance to develop and enhance their understanding and skills in the following areas:
Design principles and concepts
CAD and related design computer software
Product and market knowledge
Manufacturing process knowledge
Vendor capabilities
The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, accurate, detail oriented, able to communicate effectively, and be able to work within time constraints, and on a flexible schedule. This person must have previous exposure to CAD and be familiar with office software.
